Classwork: During class we review all concept terms involving math
solutions, we went over all formulas, the units that are used in each
and the unit each term is measured in - several of them had multiple
units and multiple formulas. We also went over how to build a formula
wheel and how to derive alternate formulas from the base equations.
Demonstrated the use of a solenoid, and a magnet with a
radio/tape player can be used to make anything that vibrates into a
speaker. Warned them NOT to do this at home because of the
frictional resistance of the coil and the production of heat that can
result and the risk of house fire.

Classwork completed the chapter 12 Test open book, open notes, it was scored and corrections
were made and the paper was recollected. Students in period 5 completed the sunscreen-earthquake handout and turned
it in today as well.

Collected 12.4 Key words, questions and chapter 12 review, any chapter 12 tests and sunblock worksheets
Homework Use the equation sheets to review what the symbols stand for in the equations, what
the units the answers should be and how to do simple unit conversions. Study the on line review on this site in the
IPS Handout section, also review to the chapter 12 powerpoints and the final review study guides. The answers are posted
on this site under handouts and the school site under IPS. Bring books to final exam where they will be collected and
bring your calculator. PREPARE FOR THIS FINAL IT WILL HELP YOUR SUCCESS.
Classwork We went over all the answers in the review packet during class. Be able to
do all of the calculations study the concepts.
