Astronomy is a science that uses the science concepts from many science disciplines. Knowledge from the studies of physics,
chemistry, geology, biology and mathematics are applied to understanding the Universe, its formation and the evolution of
the objects within it, such as the galaxies, stars, planets and moons. You will use a variety of resources like your text,
powerpoints, classwork, labwork, the internet, observations at the observatory, telescope viewing nights, on-line tutorials
and animations to gain new astronomy knowledge

If I have a digital version of the handout I will post it here. I won't have to worry about distributing papers
in class. The information students need will always be at their finger tips.
I might make the handout available for
download. Or I might scan the handout and place it here so students don't have to go any further than their favorite class
web site.

If a handout is available online (e.g., a newspaper article) I might include the appropriate link to the information students
need on this page.
